The purpose of these listings is for local activists to help people find alternative places to PP, not just for pregnancy, but for STD testing and treatment and other medical services that PP provides. See our home page.
PP locations are current up to February 21, 2024; check PP’s Florida page for updates on openings or closures. The center in Boca Raton is no longer listed and therefore understood to be closed.
As of May 1, 2024, those listed as doing abortions say they only do them up to 6 weeks, according to the new law. There is a referendum to change this being voted on in November.
On April 1, the Florida Supreme Court ruled that a heartbeat bill can go into effect, which would take 30 days. If this goes smoothly, the ban should go into effect in May, and the PP centers should reflect this. However, there will be a referendum on November 5, 2024 that will try to overturn the ban. Meanwhile, it’s still crucial to send people to alternatives even when the PP centers are referral only.

We list Community Health Centers, Rural Health Clinics, and other possible alternatives. These were found through web research, with occasional additions from local activists. Unless noted, they still need to be vetted by local activists as to quality and suitability. Here are action suggestions if they’re suitable or if they need improvement. Note the location: the map shows this large hospital pretty much across the street from the PP center. Therefore, the relationship between the hospital and PP (if any) needs to be ascertained. What is it that PP offers that allows it to continue so close to such a large medical center? If there’s anything other than abortion, then can something be done with the hospital? If it’s only that people don’t know what the hospital offers, we can do education -especially about this PP center’s health code violations.
